Scarborough Rider Training has been operating since 1996 as a Motorcycle Training School covering Scarborough, Bridlington, Malton and Whitby.
Between Graham, Phil and Alex, they have over 25 years of instructional experience mixed with the most up to date training techniques to pass on to their trainees, so you can be sure to receive the best instruction possible.
Graham will do his best to keep you on the same Motorcycle throughout your training so as to enable you to concentrate on your riding, as opposed to having to get used to a different one every time. He will also do his best to have you the same instructor therefore you have the continuity throughout your training. Ultimately this will serve to reduce the number of lessons and therefore the cost of your training up to test standards.
CBT 7 DAYS A WEEK
Scarborough Rider Training are one of the only approved training schools in the area to offer Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) 7 DAYS A WEEK!!
The CBT is not a test nor an exam. It is a training course consisting of a number of theoretical and practical elements including a 2 hour, instructor supervised road ride.
It is often beneficial to familiarise yourself with the Highway code prior to undertaking motorcycle training. It is also recommended that appropriate motorcycle clothing is worn throughout your training (helmets and gloves are available to borrow on the day or purchase from the GMEC shop during our opening hours). Hot drinks can be provided but it may be an idea to bring a packed lunch.
A1 - You must be at least 17 years of age to do your test on a 125, you must of completed a theory test and have a valid CBT to complete this test - Then you will not need to use "L" plates!
A2 - You must be at least 19 years of age, have completed a theory test and have a valid CBT to complete this test. You can then ride a Motorcycle with a power output of no more that 35kw.
A - You must be 24 years of age or over to complete the DAS - have a valid CBT and have completed a theory test prior to starting your training.
Having been around a while now Graham knows which bikes are best for training purposes.
